Zhishanyan Huiji Temple in the Shilin District

IQP

WPI's IQP (interactive qualifying project) is an undergrad degree requirement typically completed during Junior year. For mine, I went to Taipei during D term 2024. My group made a website aimed at preserving the cultural heritage of the Shilin District: shilin.wpi.edu. Over the course of 7 weeks, my team and I interviewed several local community voices and documented historical sites.

It was great to be at Soochow University and make friends with the local students there. Aside from school work, I visited TSMC and other landmarks.

I am proud to share that my team's hard work received an Honorable Mention for the 2024 President's IQP Award, placing us in the top 7 projects completed that year. Please see the following document for more details about the project - the executive summary is in the first few pages. If loading does not work (which is common on mobile), click here.
